Carrie Johnston presents findings about novel aging biomarkers at AIDS 2022

Carrie Johnston gave two presentations at AIDS 2022, the 24th International AIDS conference, hosted this year in Montréal, Canada. 

On Monday, August 1st, she spoke in the Global Villge at The Silver Zone, which served as "a networking zone for older adults living with HIV." Her File talk, "Translational HIV and Ageing Research: The Search for Novel Biomarkers,"  described "new research about aging, inflammation, and the health of older adults with HIV."

The following day, she presented her findings, "Plasma extracellular vesicles and cell-free mitochondrial DNA are associated with cognitive dysfunction in treated older adults with HIV." A copy of the poster is available PDF icon here
